Answer: A patient advocate can help you understand the medical jargon and often fast-paced environment, which can be confusing and upsetting. Getting more information and asking for the next optimal steps after receiving a diagnosis is difficult, unless you understand the industry. If you don’t know where to start or what to ask, a patient advocate is willing to help.
Answer: Patient advocacy is not specific to any age. Patient advocacy can help identify pediatric providers needed for a specialty, a specialist for a loved one struggling with movement or memory issues, or a loved one that had a stroke.
Answer: No. Patient advocates do not provide or give any medical or professional advise. We do not replace or provide medical care. We do not provide any diagnosis or treatment. We do not replace any health care provider or Medical Doctor.
Answer: We accept private pay. We do not accept insurance. Insurance companies may have their own advocate, but WE are on YOUR side, not the insurance company. We can discuss payment options during a consultation.
Answer: Anywhere. We work with clients nationally. We may meet you in person for a medical appointment or we can accommodate you virtually using a platform if you are out of our area. Our office is located in Vail Valley, the heart of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. We are experienced in both in person and remote/virtual appointments.
Answer: Yes. We have the ability to work with your family to help assist or coordinate for a loved one with any of our services offered. Sometimes speech maybe impacted from a medical condition and families communicate with a patient. Sometimes adult children of parents needing help need some outsourcing when managing working and family life. We have the time and ability to work with you to help a loved one to fill in those gaps. We are here for YOU. We provide the appropriate consent forms for clarification. Call us and we discuss how we can help.
Answer: Our lifestyle concierge services are tailored specifically to your or your family needs and request to take some of the burden off of managing administrative and daily tasks while working full time, managing challenging schedules, away from home, or on vacation. We are here for your service. You can give yourself a break to ski work a few hours, delegating tasks to us. You can hire us for your requests or hire us for a loved one.
Sample question: My wife had orthopedic surgery after a ski injury and her 70th birthday is in two days. I have been busy taking care of my wife and our two dogs and I ran out of time. Can you help me find something special for her and deliver it? Also, can you set up a birthday celebration at home for us and surprise her with flowers and a chocolate cake? I think she does not feel well enough to go out.
Answer: Absolutely! We are so sorry to hear about the ski injury. If it is ok with you, may I ask a few questions to better understand how we can help?
Sample Question: My parent is having trouble figuring out the mail. Can you go with him to the po box or figure out where his shipments are located? Also he is locked out of his email and I'm at work. Any way you can try to help?
Sample Question: "I got elevation sickness or a virus on my ski vacation. I threw up all over my clothes and ended up in the emergency room. Can you deliver some clothes and things so I can get ready for the airport? Also, can you review my paperwork and make sure everything was written down after the emergency room visit?"
Answer: Yes. We can assist you following up with the emergency room providers and reviewing their instructions. We will do our best to accommodate your travel schedule and deliver your items per your request.
Answer: You or family with be directing all working directly with Viktoria on coordinating and assisting with assignments as your private patient advocate and lifestyle concierge. Your questions and needs can be directed to Viktoria Cabral.
Answer: We offer a 30-minute complimentary consultation over the phone to discuss your needs and how our services may be a fit for you. Following consultation, we assess and move forward with your specific elected tasks and services. Call us to schedule a consultation at your convenience.
